Backed by a seven-piece band and a string section, and joined by DJ Starting from Scratch and vocalist Glenn Lewis, the concert traces a direct line from Riperton's own recordings — made alongside collaborators like Stevie Wonder and George Benson — to the generation of artists who later sampled and remixed her sound: A Tribe Called Quest, The Fugees, J Dilla, The Roots, Kaytranada.

In June 2026, Divine Brown premiered Lovin' You: The Minnie Riperton Story at the renowned Luminato Festival to a sold-out crowd. The performance allowed Divine not only to sing music from the late legend's expansive catalogue, but also to speak about Riperton's life.
In the world of theatre, Divine's hit documentary-style concert "Billie, Sarah and Ella: Revolutionary Women in Jazz" was presented at Soulpepper Theatre's 2023 and 2024 seasons in the historic Distillery District of Toronto. Most recently, in August 2026, she returned to work with Soulpepper once again for "Revolutionary Women in Blues featuring Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith and Sister Rosetta Tharpe," another docu-concert production that she has created.
