JUNO Award–winning powerhouse Divine Brown steps into the world of Minnie Riperton — the voice behind "Lovin' You" and "Les Fleurs," and one of soul's most influential, most under-sung artists.
Backed by a seven-piece band and a string section, and joined by DJ Starting from Scratch and vocalist Glenn Lewis, the concert traces a direct line from Riperton's own recordings — made alongside collaborators like Stevie Wonder and George Benson — to the generation of artists who later sampled and remixed her sound: A Tribe Called Quest, The Fugees, J Dilla, The Roots, Kaytranada.
It's a sing-along, dance-in-your-seat night built to be felt in the body — the songs you already know, and the grooves you didn't realize started with her.
